Email us
The quickest way to reach us is by email:
We do not use a contact form, we do not have a phone line and we do not run social media accounts for the site. Email is the only channel, and it reaches the editorial team directly.
What to contact us about
| Enquiry | What to include |
|---|---|
| Corrections - a price that is out of date, a fault code that does not match your manual, a broken link, anything you believe is wrong | The page address, what you think is wrong and, if you can, where we can check the correct information. See how corrections are handled in our editorial policy. |
| Topic suggestions - a boiler question you could not find a good answer to | The question as you would ask it. We cannot promise to cover every suggestion, but we read them all. |
| Press and media - quoting our content, requests for comment | Your publication, the deadline and what you need. Please note that our content is researched by an editorial team, not by a named engineer, so we cannot offer you a "spokesperson" with credentials we do not have. |
| Partnerships - affiliate programmes, installers or manufacturers who want to work with us | What you offer and through which affiliate network. We work through Awin and we do not sell paid placements, sponsored articles or links; see our affiliate disclosure. |
| Privacy and data - questions or requests under UK GDPR | What you would like us to do. See our privacy policy for your rights. |
| Content reuse - permission to republish or translate an article | Which page, where it would appear and in what form. |
What we cannot help with
Please read this before you email, because these are the requests we receive most often and cannot act on.
- We cannot diagnose your boiler. We are an information website, not an engineering service. We cannot tell you by email why your boiler is losing pressure, what a particular noise means or whether a part needs replacing, because that needs someone to look at the appliance. Our fault code guides and pressure guides cover the common questions; for anything beyond the safe user steps they describe, book a Gas Safe registered engineer. You can find one and check their registration at gassaferegister.co.uk or on 0800 408 5500.
- If you smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide, do not email us. Leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 (free, 24 hours a day).
- We cannot recommend a specific local installer or tell you whether a quote you have received is fair. Our guide to getting and comparing boiler quotes explains what to look for.
- We cannot help with boiler cover, insurance, finance or grant applications. We do not cover insurance or finance at all, and for grants we can only point you to the official gov.uk and Ofgem checkers linked in our grants guide.
- We do not sell leads. If you are an installer hoping to buy customer enquiries, we do not have any to sell - we never collect readers' details.
How quickly we reply
We aim to acknowledge every email within five working days and to deal with corrections as soon as we have checked them against the source. Press enquiries with a deadline are prioritised where we can. We are a small team and we do not reply at weekends or on public holidays.
We do not send automated replies, newsletters or follow-up marketing. If you email us, the only thing you will receive back is an answer.
